Loose Equipment Supply
Allison Hydraulics has access to over £3 million of stock to cover most hydraulic requirements in all industries. Our range includes Hydraulic industrial and mobile valves, manifold blocks, pumps, motors, cylinders, power units, actuators, coolers/heat exchangers, filters, hose and fittings, level gauges, pressure gauges, pressure transducers, test equipment, bell housings, couplings, pressure switches and other accessories.
Workshop Repairs
With workshop facilities at Bradford, Birmingham and Washington, the company is able to take on a variety of repairs to all types of hydraulic equipment. This ranges from the reseal of a single valve to complete power unit refurbishment. Cylinder repairs are also carried out and our machine shop at Bradford allows for new parts to be machined where necessary, ensuring a rapid turnaround. Test benches at all three locations enable repairs to be function and pressure tested prior to delivery. Also, the company is authorised to carry out accumulator re-certification or more straightforward bladder replacement and nitrogen gas charging. As distributors, we carry spares for Atos, Hydrocontrol, White Drive Products, Ronzio, Related Fluid Power, Thermal Transfer Products, Heypac, MP Filtri and HKS ensuring a first class service using only parts supplied by the original manufacturers.
Site Services
A significant part of our workload involves site repair work and installation. Over the past 35+ years, we have acquired considerable knowledge of hydraulic presses and production machinery and can assist with all aspects of repair and refurbishment. Services include, for example, the fitting of monitored valves used in press safety systems, fault-finding, component replacement, hydraulic pipe work installations, flushing, pressure testing and preventative maintenance.
Engineering Projects
The company has always maintained its own in-house design capability allowing for complete turnkey projects to be taken on. These projects will include hydraulic power units, valve systems and actuators along with electrical control panels used in a variety of industrial applications. Recent years has seen equipment supplied for use on wind turbines. This is for control and filtration systems as well as equipment used for assembly and maintenance. The company also has expertise in the design and installation of hydraulic clamping systems used on machining centres and in addition has installed a significant number of clamping systems for many of the UK's heavy plant manufacturers.
Over the past 10 years the company has seen a substantial growth in the supply of hydraulic systems for use in the marine and offshore sector. These systems are typically electrically driven but often the use of air operated pumps is preferred, especially in potentially hazardous areas. Valves and pumps with ATEX certification are used for offshore installations where required. These systems are usually made from corrosion resistant materials such as 316 stainless steel and other more exotic metals.
